Scientists at the University of Michigan conducted a study that found that self-control
As part of their scientific work, specialists throughoutA group of 1037 people were analyzed for 50 years. During the course of the study, participants were interviewed, filled out questionnaires, and underwent examinations, including brain scans, at the ages of 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 18, 21, 26, 32, 38 and 45 years. Moreover, specialists also communicated with parents, teachers and peers of the volunteers. It is noted that their self-control was recorded through behavioral tasks and interviews with other people.
As a result, it turned out that the participants,who showed a high level of self-control in childhood, the aging process was slower than that of their peers. In such people, the brain and body were healthier and retained their biological youth longer.
