Molecular velocity recorded at a record high frame rate

As it became known, scientists from the University of Tokyo were able to do the previously impossible - they filmed

the speed of molecular movement in video at a record high frame rate of 1,600 fps (frames per second).

This achievement looks especially amazing.against the background of the fact that earlier the frame rate for such shooting did not exceed 16 fps. True, then the specialists used only transmission electron microscopy (TEM), while as part of a fresh study, it was decided to add a DED camera to the TEM.
