Scientists conducted experiments and proved that specially trained dogs can recognize sick people
Briefly about the work published in the authoritativeThe French and Lebanese conducted an experiment involving 177 people, half of whom had COVID-19, and six specially trained dogs, according to the journal PLOS One, Naked Science reports.
Scientists placed samples of healthy and sick people's sweat odor into containers and showed them to dogs. Some dogs reportedly correctly identified infected people 76% of the time, and some 100%.
Interestingly, researchers are not yet completeunderstand what features the dogs sense. According to scientists, the coronavirus breaks down certain molecules, which then enter the air through sweat, respiration, and saliva. Dogs can probably pick up these molecules.
