Created artificial leather to replace fitness bracelets

Scientists at the University of Colorado Boulder have developed artificial skin that is flexible and completely

a recyclable printed circuit board that can replace wearable devices like fitness bracelets.

The new circuit board can even heal itself like real skin. It is also capable of performing a wide range of sensory tasks, from measuring a person's temperature to tracking their steps.

Artificial skin can be attached anywhere on the human body - it adapts its shape well to this. If you want to wear the board like a watch, you just need to wrap it around your wrist.

The authors of the development hope that it will allowrethink what wearable devices can be. The researchers believe that someday such artificial leather will allow people to collect accurate data about their bodies, and also reduce the amount of electronic waste.
