US returned 349 F-35 fighters to missions - catapult problem solved

In early August, the United States grounded almost all F-35 Lighting II aircraft due to problems discovered with the catapult.

Two weeks later, more than three hundred fighters returned to carry out their missions.

The US Air Force Command removeda ban on flights of fifth-generation fighters. For two weeks, specialists checked all the parts that could be potentially defective. A total of 349 United States Air Force aircraft were tested throughout the country, as well as in Europe and the Pacific region.

The Americans have diagnosed additionalejection seat systems and spare parts. As a result of the check, 4 out of 706 squibs were found to be "suspicious" and subject to replacement. Several F-35 Lighting II fighters will still have to undergo diagnostics within three months.
