Ukraine in the second half of the year will receive GLSDB missiles with a maximum launch range of up to 150 km

The Armed Forces of Ukraine can count on receiving American high-precision long-range GLSDB missiles

not earlier than autumn. They will be launched using M142 HIMARS missile systems.

What is known

This was announced by the Deputy Minister of DefenseUSA Laura Cooper (Laura Cooper) during a speech in Congress. The issue was raised amid a missile attack on a bridge in Chongar that connects mainland Ukraine with the Crimean peninsula.

The bridge is actively used by Russian troopsfor logistical needs. The distance from it to the front line is approximately 120 km. Judging by the published footage, the strike was nevertheless delivered by the Franco-British Storm Shadow cruise missile.

As for GLSDB, it's a joint developmentBoeing and Saab. It is a combination of an M26 rocket and a GBU-39/B SDB air bomb weighing about 115 kg. For guidance, an inertial system and GPS are used. Deviation from the target is less than 1 meter.
