What is known
The radar was developed by the German company Hensoldt.It is part of the IRIS-T SLM medium-range anti-aircraft missile system, which has been in service with the Ukrainian Air Force since mid-autumn last year.
The radar station operates in the C-band and is equipped with an electronically scanned active phased array antenna, which is based on solid-state GaN (gallium nitride) transmitters.
TRML-4D can track unmanned aerial vehiclesvehicles, aircraft, helicopters and missiles, including ballistic ones. In the case of the latter, the maximum detection range is 60 km. Also, the radar is capable of tracking up to 1500 targets simultaneously at a distance of up to 250 km.
