What is known
Armed Forces of Ukraine use self-propelledhowitzers from around the world, including the French CAESAR, the American M109A6 Paladin, the German Panzerhaubitze 2000 and the Polish AHS Krab. Turkish T-155 Firtina systems will soon join them.
This was announced by Brigadier General Oleksiy Gromov, Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He also announced the arrival of Swedish Archer howitzers.
The T-155 Firtina is the longest-range howitzer on theweapons of the Turkish army. It is equipped with a 155/52 caliber cannon, which allows it to destroy enemy targets at a maximum distance of 30 km and 40 km, depending on the type of ammunition.

Firtina is a localized versionKorean self-propelled howitzer K9 Thunder company Hanwha Defense. It is distinguished by the presence of the Turkish fire control system. All components except the engine are produced in Turkey.
Türkiye is already working on the next T-155 Firtinagenerations. The Firtina II howitzer will receive an updated fire control system, increased rate of fire and thermal imaging sights, and the crew size will be reduced from five to four people.
