The exercises took place in the Rivne region. The incident took place on the Kiev-Chop highway between the villages of Krupets and Mikhailovka. Four Su-27 planes practiced landing and takeoff from the highway. One of the fighters with the tail number "24 (blue)" was unlucky - it touched a road sign with an air intake on the recommended speed of 80 km / h.
