Scientists have named the best way to prevent high blood pressure and heart disease

In a new study, scientists from Griffith University and the University of Oxford have discovered the best way

prevention of high blood pressure and heart disease. According to them, this is limiting salt intake.

Scientists note that for countries with middle andlow income is characterized by large economic losses due to the epidemic scale of non-communicable diseases. Moreover, the greatest burden falls on the pathology of the heart and blood vessels. As part of the work, the researchers used the example of Cameroon to study the impact of strategies aimed at limiting salt on public health.

As a result, it was found that these strategiescan avoid 10 to 80 thousand deaths from heart problems and strokes. It is also noted that in high-income countries, a strategy to reduce salt intake would be effective by improving the food industry by adding excessive amounts of salt to processed foods.
