Well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo shared his thoughts on Apple's plans for5G in 2020.

The analyst believes that iPhone 5G models will account for 15-20% of all sales in the second half of 2020. Apple will also move to a new LCP FPC antenna design for 2020 models.
For the first time, the company began using an LCP antenna.for iPhone X and iPhone 8 in 2017. In fact, the antenna is perfect, but it is not cheap, and therefore it is not on the budget iPhone XR and iPhone 11. In addition, its production is also quite difficult, and there are also problems with supplies. However, LCP antennas are recommended for 5G, since they are not affected by temperature changes.
So far, Apple has been purchasing LCP FPC antennas only fromMurata for iPhone 11 Pro. To use them on all three 2020 models, the company will have to find more suppliers. Avary / ZDT has the best chance since it already supplies antenna components for the Apple Watch.
Kuo believes that in 2020, Apple will sell 70-75%iPhone with LCP antennas. In 2019, the percentage will be 45-50%. iPhone XR and iPhone 7 will be discontinued. In addition, Apple uses LCP FPC antennas for Apple Watch and iPad.
