$ 30bn China invested in AI in four years
The media reported that since 2016, China has invested $30 billion in companies that develop artificial intelligence (AI).
In 2016, Chinese authorities said they were including AI in a priority development plan.It should be understood that for the period from 1998 to 2020, the AI sector in China attracted $35 billion.That is, over the past four years, 86% of the funds have arrived in it.
More than a third of this amount went to companies from Beijing. Shenzhen is in second place, and Shanghai is in third.
Earlier, the head of the PRC Xi Jinping said that artificial intelligence can help the country to strengthen economic growth.
