33.9 million people in Russia use the Internet at home

This number has increased compared to the first quarter of 2020. It amounted to 33.9 million. We are talking specifically about the B2C segment (Business to Consumer, or business for consumers).
At the same time, the average revenue per user(ARPU) decreased by 7.5 rubles and amounted to 356 rubles. Analysts attribute the decline in revenue to various promotions and special offers that were in effect during the pandemic. In addition, leading operators provided users with network access with a zero balance.
Rostelecom became the leader in terms of growth in the number of subscribers in the second quarter of the year. MTS is in second place.
