The US Air Force has been exploring the possibility for many yearsuse of third-party tankers for exercises and non-military missions. This will reduce the load on the fleet of air tankers that are in service with the service.
At the end of last month during the ExerciseThe Resolute Hunter KC-135R tanker from Metrea Strategic Mobility provided aerial refueling for US Air Force aircraft. From 23 to 29 June, he refueled RC-135 Rivet Joint and E-3 Sentry.
