Thanks to its unique design,Bean-like, the Galaxy Buds Live is arguably more comfortable and looks better in the ear. On the other hand, AirPods Pro are easier to insert and remove from your ears, have legs to grip on, and thanks to their rubber tips, they are more likely to fit snugly into most people's ears. Overseas bloggers have tested how Buds Live is suitable for several people, and no one had any problems, everyone found them comfortable. If anything, people have had trouble figuring out how to place the Buds Live in their ears for the first time due to their unique design, which makes it unclear which side should be facing up.
Comparison of sound and active noise cancellation
As for the sound of the Galaxy Buds Live comparedwith AirPods Pro — The Buds Live have a slightly richer sound with stronger (but not overpowering) bass. Both earbuds produce clear mids and highs, but the AirPods Pro have virtually no bass.
However, AirPods Pro are much more powerful.active noise cancellation (ANC), almost completely blocking out background sounds. ANC Galaxy Buds Live is good too, but nowhere near as strong, always allowing the user to hear sounds from their surroundings.
This was probably done on purpose, since Samsungstates that the ANC feature on Buds Live aims to reduce low-frequency background noise such as the engine of a bus or train, while still allowing users to hear sounds that may be important, like voices and announcements. Honestly, in the Bluetooth settings of the iPhone is hidden the ability to set the AirPods Pro to "transparent" ANC mode, which also allows you to skip more sounds.
Comparison of voice assistants
With AirPods Pro, you can call Siri without helphands if you also use an iPhone. In turn, when using Galaxy Buds Live, you can enable the use of Samsung's smart assistant — Bixby — provided you are using a Samsung phone.
The corresponding smart assistant can be activatedvoice and ask to know the weather, turn on music or send a message to a friend, for example, hands-free. It can also be launched using a touch gesture on both AirPods Pro and Buds Live.
Galaxy Buds Live and AirPods Pro customization options
Samsung Galaxy Buds Live can be used withthe Galaxy Wearable app on Android, which is pre-installed on Samsung phones. It has a built-in equalizer, customizable touch gestures, the ability to turn ANC or Bixby on or off, and even a tutorial on how to place the headphones in your ears.
As for AirPods Pro, on iPhone, you canaccess their settings via the Bluetooth menu. Their options include "noise control" to turn ANC on or off, or set it to "transparency" mode, and customizable gesture settings. However, to equalize the music (for example, to boost the bass), you must use the equalizer in the Music app, and its equalizer settings will not apply to music played in other apps.
Battery life comparison
As for the difference in battery lifebetween Galaxy Buds Live and AirPods Pro, then in real life it is really not noticeable. Both models can last up to a week when used with a case, depending on whether ANC is on or off.
According to Samsung, Galaxy Buds Live mayRun up to 21 hours on a single charge with ANC on (and Bixby off). In return, Apple is promising over 24 hours of music listening experience for AirPods Pro with ANC enabled.
Both Buds Live and AirPods Pro cases are certifiedQi and thus support wireless charging. To charge the old fashioned way, the AirPods case uses a Lightning cable, while the Buds Live — USB Type-C.
Bluetooth connection
Both Galaxy Buds Live and AirPods Pro useBluetooth 5.0 for connection. Samsung phone users can simply open the Buds Live case next to their smartphone to start the pairing process, much like iPhone users can do the same with AirPods Pro. When using a third party phone, there is always a standard Bluetooth pairing option.
AirPods Pro have more reliability and rangeconnection to the user's phone via Buds Live. If you want to leave your phone somewhere and be able to walk away without being distracted by your music, AirPods — a safer option.
Buds Live, on the other hand, is slightly weaker inconnection range. When using them, your music can start to distort about 12 feet from your phone, which is still very good, but not at the level of Buds +.
