Apple has just released iOS 9.1 for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, which includes a number of fixes and improvements.

- Live Photo can now recognize when your iPhone is raised or lowered, so those movements aren't recorded when you take Live Photos.
- Added over 150 new emoji characters with full emoji support for Unicode 7.0 and 8.0.
- Improved stability of programs and functions, including “Music”, “Photo”, “Search”, CarPlay and Safari.
- Improved multitasking performance.
- Fixed a bug due to which the Calendar program could stop responding to actions in the month view mode.
- Fixed an issue that prevented Game Center from launching for some users.
- Fixed error scaling the contents of some programs.
- Fixed a bug that could lead to an incorrect count of the number of unread emails for POP email accounts.
- Fixed a bug that prevented the deletion of automatically suggested recently used contact details when creating new messages or emails.

- Fixed a bug that led to the appearance of a gray bar in audio messages.
- Fixed activation error that occurred for some mobile operators.
- Fixed an issue that prevented some App Store apps from updating.
The update also includes a new option in the Messages app settings that allows users to turn off contact photos.
Apple has fixed several vulnerabilities in iOS 9.1 that were exploited by the Pangu team, so it will no longer be possible to jailbreak iOS 9.1 using Pangu Jailbreak.
