US President Joe Biden's administrationBiden plans to connect every inhabitant of the country to broadband Internet by 2030. For this, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act was passed.
Each state will receive at least $100 million and by Decemberthis year must develop a project for the distribution of funds. The National Telecommunications and Information Authority will approve the plans by early spring next year.
In the spring of 2024, the distribution of a part (20%) of the funds and the deployment of the Internet infrastructure will begin. A minimum of 80% of the money will be distributed within approximately two years.
