The expert told why Russia can block YouTube

Director of the Association of Professional Users of Social Networks and Messengers Vladimir Zykov explained

possible blocking of YouTube video hosting in Russia. Discuss

According to Zykov, the decision was initially madeabout removing ads from hosting pages so as not to broadcast anyone's view of events in Ukraine. But practice has shown that YouTube began to remove the content of Russian media. According to the expert, this suggests that the service management has taken a specific and tough position and is intervening in the conflict.

“Obviously, they have not beenblocked, did not slow down, tried to talk to them, but the company does not compromise, does not respond to requests from the supervisory authority. Most likely, an extreme measure will soon be applied against them in the form of a slowdown, and the next step may be blocking if YouTube does not restore the blocked channels, ”Zykov emphasized.
