120Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, 50MP camera and up to 45W charging: an insider revealed the detailed specifications of the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+

Ahead of Samsung's presentation on February 1, German insider Roland Quandt published detailed

characteristics of the flagships Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+.

What is known

According to the leak, the Galaxy S23 will receive 6.1-inch Super AMOLED panel, and Galaxy S23+ has a 6.6-inch screen. Both smartphones will have FHD+ resolution, adaptive refresh rate from 48 to 120 Hz, support for HDR10+ and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.

The new products will be equipped with a new 12-megapixelfront camera that can record HDR10+ video at 4K 60fps resolution. On the back side, the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ will install three sensors of 50 MP + 12 MP (wide-angle model) + 10 MP (telephoto with 3x). The device's camera will be able to record 8K video at 30fps or 4K at 60fps.

Smartphones will be running a top-endSnapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor paired with 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB storage. Galaxy S23+ will also receive a 512 GB modification. The smartphones will come with stereo speakers, IP68 protection, GPS, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, UWB support (Galaxy S23+ only), NFC and a USB 3.2 Type-C port. The base model will hit the market with a 3,900mAh battery and 25W charging. The top version will feature a 4700 mAh battery and 45 W charging.

By the way, the new products will come out of the box with a new One UI 5.1 shell based on Android 13. The devices will cost from $899.
