$1,400,000,000 contract: Poland buys an additional 116 Abrams M1A1FEP tanks

Poland continues to arm itself, announcing a new contract for the purchase of an additional batch of Abrams tanks.

What is known

This was reported by the publication Polska Zbrojna.The contract was signed on January 4. It is designed for $1.4 billion. Of this, $1.2 billion will be paid by the Poles, and 200 thousand will be financed by the United States as part of financial assistance to Ukraine. For this money, Poland will buy 116 Abrams tanks in the M1A1FEP modification. In addition to tanks, the contract also includes 12 M88A2 Hercules recovery vehicles, 8 M1074 bridge-laying vehicles, 6 M577 command vehicles, as well as 26 NG SECM workshops on the HMMWV chassis.
