150 thousand surveillance cameras from Tesla warehouse and government agencies were hacked

Thanks to the fact that hackers gained access to the “superadmin” account on the internal network of the startup Verkada,

providing video surveillance services to hundreds of companies, including Tesla, they hacked 150 thousand surveillance cameras.

So, hackers were able to view what was happening,filmed with over 150 thousand surveillance cameras. Moreover, about 222 of them were located in Tesla factories and warehouses. The cameras of offices, hospitals, women's clinics, intensive care units and other institutions were also hacked. In addition, a camera from the home of one of the Verkada employees was hacked.

According to hackers, this was not done with badintentions, but in order to show how vulnerable people are to total surveillance. It was also done for fun. To prove this, they even provided access to an archive of images and videos with a total capacity of up to 6 GB to a number of media outlets. According to Bloomberg, the archive contains personnel from ten organizations, including both private and public.
