2018 iPhone will be equipped with an L-shaped battery

Nomura Securities, a subsidiary of Nomura Holdings, recently revealed what to expect from Apple in 2018. According to her,

the company will release three iPhone models, one ofwhich will have an LCD screen and a single rear camera. The other two models are a 6.1-inch iPhone X successor and a 6.5-inch iPhone X-like phablet.

According to one of the top analystsKGI Securities Ming Chi Koh, both OLED models will have an L-shaped one-piece battery. The current models use two batteries arranged in the same shape to save space inside the phone. According to Koh, Apple is working with battery manufacturer LGC. The company had hoped to equip the iPhone X with a solid battery, but the necessary technology was not ready in 2017.

The 6.5-inch model will have a 3300-3400 mAh battery, while the model with an LCD screen (presumably 6.1 inches) will have a 2850-2950 mAh battery. This will allow Apple to reduce its price. Thanks to this, the model with an LCD screen will become the cheapest expected in 2018.
