the division will operate under the name CloudChamber in two offices. The first team was formed in Novato, California's San Francisco Bay Area, and the second in Montreal. As Gamesindustry.biz notes, this is the publisher's first Canadian division and the first studio in the company's history to be run by a woman.

Kelly Gilmore took over the leadership position.which has been working for the benefit of the industry for 22 years. She spent most of her time at Firaxis Games, releasing 40 games. Gilmore will lead development from the office in Novato, which will apparently be the main one.

“My evolution to this position was thanks tothe many opportunities I have had at Firaxis to grow and learn, along with the support and encouragement of the incredible people I have worked with over the years,” says Kelly Gilmore.

Cloud Chamber will develop a new partBioShock, the details of which remain a secret. In addition, the publisher noted that development will continue for “several years,” so the release will take place on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Scarlet. The developers promise to show a new world, as well as pay attention to the plot component, which previous games in the series were famous for.

“We cannot yet clarify our development plans, but we can agree that the narrative in any BioShock game is a popular and debated topic among fans and critics alike. Our team is very focused on this aspect and is ready to deliver another powerful story,” says Gilmore.

The first two games in the series took place underwater, but in Infinite gamers were sent to a flying city. It is possible that this time the developers will come down to earth.

It's worth noting that Ken Levine is not participatingin game development, and the author is also busy with his own project at Ghost Story Games. However, the developers of the original series got involved in the creation of the new BioShock:

  • BioShock 1 and 2 artist Hoagy de la Plante
  • Design Director Jonathan Pelling
  • artistic director of BioShock and BioShock: Infinite Scott Sinclair

In addition, developers who worked on Call of Duty, Assassin’s Creed, Star Wars and Battlefield joined the team.
