42% of CEOs of large companies believe that AI will destroy humanity

A new survey of executives of large companies showed that 42% of them admit the possibility of destruction

humanity with artificial intelligence in the next decade.

What is known

119 managers took part in the studyfrom different business sectors. Respondents include Walmart CEO Doug McMillon, Coca-Cola CEO James Quincy, and CEOs of Xerox, Zoom, and other pharmaceutical, media, and manufacturing companies.

34% of them said that AI could potentiallydestroy humanity in ten years. 8% admitted this possibility in five years. 58% of respondents are confident that this will never happen and they are "not worried".

Also, 42% of executives surveyed believe that the potential disaster of AI is exaggerated, while 58% say the opposite.
