4nm SoC: Qualcomm is preparing to release an improved version of Snapdragon 888

Last December, Qualcomm announced its top-end processor Snapdragon 888, and is now preparing

release of its improved version.

Details about the new product were shared on Twitterinsider @evleaks. The chip goes by code number SM8450 and will most likely be called Snapdragon 888+. The SoC, according to the informant, will be built using a 4-nanometer process technology. For comparison, the current model is made using 5nm technology.

Snapdragon 888+ is also credited with a built-in modemfor the fifth generation network Snapdragon X65, the new Kryo 780 core with ARM Cortex v9 technology, as well as Adreno 730 graphics, Qualcomm Aqstic WCD9380/WCD9385 audio chip and Adreno 1195 display processor (DPU).

When to expect
