4nm SoC: Qualcomm is preparing to release an improved version of Snapdragon 888

Qualcomm announced its top Snapdragon 888 processor last December and is now preparing for

release its improved version.

What is known

Details about the new product shared on Twitterinsider @evleaks. The chip is codenamed SM8450 and will most likely be called Snapdragon 888+. The SoC, according to the informant, will be built using a 4-nanometer process technology. For comparison, the current model is made using 5nm technology.

Snapdragon 888+ is also credited with a built-in modemfor the fifth generation Snapdragon X65 network, the new Kryo 780 core with ARM Cortex v9 technology, as well as Adreno 730 graphics, Qualcomm Aqstic WCD9380 / WCD9385 audio chip and Adreno 1195 display processor (DPU).

When to expect

There is no exact date for the processor's release yet, butit is known that all top smartphones of the second half of 2021 will be released on its basis. By the way, the future flagship Honor can be one of the first to receive the chip.
