$535,000,000 contract: US allowed Lockheed Martin to sell Finland GMLRS guided missiles for M270 MLRS

The United States of America has given permission to sell GMLRS missiles to Finland.

This was reported by the Military Cooperation AgencyUSA. We are talking about a contract worth $535,000,000. It should include 150 blocks of GMLRS guided missiles in the M30A1 (AW) or M30A2 (IMPS) variants, as well as 250 blocks of M31A1 or M31A2 rocket ammunition. The order will be fulfilled by Lockheed Martin. The missiles are planned to be used with M270D1 multiple launch rocket systems on a tracked chassis. Finland bought them in 2006.
