5G version of Samsung Galaxy A71 spotted in Geekbench with Exynos 980 chip

There has already been a rumor on the Internet that Samsung is preparing to release a special version of the Galaxy A71 smartphone with network support

fifth generation. Now this information has been confirmed.

What is known

The device with model number SM-A7160 was spotted in the Geekbench benchmark database. The device is powered by an Exynos 980 processor, instead of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 in the regular Galaxy A71.

The Samsung chip is built on 8nmtechnical process and uses eight cores: two Cortex-A77 and six Cortex-A55. It comes with a built-in 5G modem. Its download speed reaches 2.55 Gbps. By the way, the Galaxy A71 5G will not be the first smartphone with this SoC. It is also used by the vivo x30 5G, which is currently only sold in China.

According to Geekbench, the test device also has 8GB of RAM and the Android 10 operating system pre-installed.

Price and when to wait

Samsung Galaxy A71 5G should be presented in the near future. The price tag of the device will be less than 500 US dollars.
