Some culinary habits can directly affect the taste of food and even the condition of our body. There are seven of them in total, as the author of Al Jazeera notes with reference to AdMe.ru.

  1. Using one knife to cut all ingredients. Because of this, harmful bacteria can get on all products. It is better not to cut already cooked meat with the same knife you used to cut raw meat.
  1. Stirring rice. If you stir the rice while cooking, it will become overcooked. It is also important to remember the required amount of water: one glass of liquid for half a glass of product.
  1. Cutting a steak immediately after cooking. It is better to leave the meat for a few minutes. This will make the dish more juicy.
  1. Wrong oil selection. Each cooking option requires its owntype of oil. Extra virgin olive oil is used for frying at low temperatures to create sauces. In general, vegetable oils, for example sunflower, are more suitable for baking, frying, and stewing. Corn oil is necessary for baking and deep-frying, and canola oil – for grilling, baking, frying at high temperatures.

  1. Refusing to taste food while cooking. There is nothing dangerous about this as long as you follow sanitary rules.
  1. Adding oil to the paste. When cooking pasta, it is best not to add oil to the water.
  1. Incorrect slicing of onions... It is necessary to cut the onion in the direction of its fibers. This will prevent your eyes from watering when slicing.
