Howard isn't crazy, he's just fulfilling a requestfans. Shirley Curry runs a YouTube channel dedicated to the passage of the game TES: Skyrim. At the end of 2018, when the approximate release date of TES6 became known, she left a comment in which she wrote that she might not catch the game.

“Well, I think this will put the final nail in my grave, literally. I'll be 88 when Skyrim 6 comes out! So, most likely, I won’t play, and I can only dream,” Shirley wrote.

Gamers reacted to this with a petition to Bethesda.in which they asked the developers to immortalize the grandmother in The Elder Scrolls 6. Howard heard the fans and, in a video dedicated to the 25th anniversary of TES, announced that Shirley would become an NPC in the next game in the series.

To bring Granny into the game, Bethesdauses photogeometry technology, which allows you to create realistic objects in the game world. In the video, the developers even showed the process of creating a game copy of Shirley. It is possible that the environments in The Elder Scrolls 6 will be created using this technology, which explains Bethesda's decision not to release the game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Note that this is not the first time the gamethe TES series adds a person from the real world. Remember Eric from Skyrim? In the English version, the character was named Erik the Slayer, after Oblivion fan Eric West with the pseudonym Immok the Slayer. During the development of Skyrim, he visited the Bethesda office and surprised the employees with his knowledge of the game. Because of this, the developers decided to add a character named Eric. Unfortunately, six months before the release of Skyrim, the guy died of cancer, and Bethesda immortalized him in the game as Erik the Slayer.
