Robotics engineer James Bruton (James Bruton) with the students of the University of Portsmouth created
How does it work
Bruton's creation can be called immersive.companion for VR games. All parts of the machine were printed on a 3D printer, with the exception of the wooden platform on which it is installed. His main tools for interacting with the "bags of meat" are pneumatic fists and boxing gloves. All movements of the robot are synchronized with the Vive Tracker module and custom-designed fighting game. Each time a player misses a beat in the game, he misses it in reality with all the ensuing consequences. You can look at the robot below (the battle itself starts at 10:50)
