A new mutated species of bird flu has entered Russia

It became known that a new mutated type of bird flu had entered Russia. So, seven employees

domestic poultry farms have discovered a strain of bird flu for the first time in the world. Anna Popova, head of Rospotrebnadzor, spoke about this.

According to her, there was an outbreak of influenza in birdsrecorded at the factory at the end of last year. Now the virus has been found in human genetic material. This is the world's first case of human infection with avian influenza A(H5N8) virus.

"All seven people I am talking about today arefeel well, the clinical course of an infectious disease was very mild. But at the same time, our scientists were able to see changes in the human body and the immune response to a meeting with this virus in all seven workers of this poultry farm, ”said the head of Rospotrebnadzor.

At the moment, scientists have not figured out whether the virus can be transmitted from person to person.
