A new virus has learned to steal emails from Gmail

Hackers from the Iranian group Charming Kitten began using the “cunning” Hyperscrape virus to remotely spy on

users of Gmail, Microsoft and Yahoo! accounts. Discuss

To download a virus into the victim's mail, hackers first hack into the account, and then install malware that quickly gains exclusive rights in the system and monitors all correspondence.

If the security service of the service sends a warning to the user about suspicious activity in the account, the virus intercepts these letters, leaving the victim in the dark.

In addition, Hyperscrape constantly checks all letters, downloads all the information from them, and then marks them again as unread.

Several dozen users of Gmail, Microsoft and Yahoo! services have already suffered from such surveillance.
