A prototype of a flying motorcycle appeared: it flies at a speed of 800 km / h

A new startup, Mayman Aerospace, which is owned by Jetpack Aviation Corporation, is developing micro-speeders for the system

vertical take-off and landing. The P2 Speeder is the company's latest model.

It's a motorcycle-sized vehicle and the third full-scale prototype that the company has developed on its way to the final version of the aircraft. It is equipped with eight jet engines that workAs a reminder, it is almost identical in nature to fossil fuels. This means that it can be used in a standard jet aircraft with little to no modifications. However, the magic is that it is 80% less carbon-intensive over its life cycle and canbe created using a range of sustainable, renewable sources.

The P2 Speeder features an attractive glossyangular carbon fiber body and ergonomic pilot position. Everything is designed to improve the aerodynamic performance of the model in order to maximize flight efficiency.

The flying motorcycle is equipped with a patented on-board computer system that instantly rebalancesengine thrust in the event of a malfunction. The model is also distinguished by its ease of use: getting into the air should be as easy as jumping and pressing the start button.

While the unveiled prototype was manned, the Speeder has a modular design that can be configured for autonomous or remotely piloted flight. While it is designed for police, rescue and military personnel as a small personal vertical take-off and landing aircraft, autonomous or remotely piloted configurations will expandPotential applications of the vehicle.

Also, the P2 Speeder can serve as an industrial cargo transport, which is capable of flying in unmanned cargo mode over a distance of 644 km at a speed of more than 800 km/h and a maximum load of up to 450 kg.

The company says it works with the Federalby the US Civil Aviation Administration on Speeder certification and is negotiating with potential customers in the areas of national defense, critical cargo transportation, wildfire fighting and disaster relief.
