A QR code generator has been created to replace the keys to doors and gates

A group of Polish students assembled a QR code generation system based on a Raspberry Pi single-board computer,

which can act as keys to doors and gates. Discuss

Instead of relying on a single PIN orpassword, you can receive a unique QR code, which can be turned off at any time. According to the team, the idea is to replace the conventional lock and key system with something more advanced and accessible via smartphone.

Users can generate QR codes, using the desktop or mobile app. They can then send the digital key to whoever needs access to the lock. In addition, the QR scanner reads and identifies codes that trigger the unlock mechanism when an event is registered in the database. This ensures that access is granted to whoever you want and that activity is tracked.
