A repairman's dream: Fairphone is preparing a new modular smartphone - this time with 5G support

Dutch company Fairphone specializes in modular, greener smartphones that

have good maintainability. And she seems to be preparing to announce a new model.

What to expect

Fairphone 3 (pictured) debuted at the end of August 2019, and Fairphone 3+ was introduced almost exactly a year later. Therefore, it is not surprising that Fairphone 4 will be released soon.

The smartphone has already been certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance,so we know that it will run on the Android 11 operating system and will have 5G support. It is expected that the new product will be called Fairphone 4 5G.

Unfortunately, other characteristics are stillunknown. But, most likely, it will be the same modular smartphone, which, following its predecessors, will receive the highest rating for maintainability from iFixit specialists.
