A developer from Grozny, Ramzan Shakhbiev, wrote a Telegram bot for Tesla remote control. He published
The bot replaces Tesla's proprietary mobile app.This idea came to the developer suddenly when he was looking for vulnerabilities in this application. Ramzan discovered that Tesla uses the OAuth 2.0 protocol for authorization on the site and in mobile programs. This allowed us to log in through the bot, get all the necessary tokens and collect all the API methods. As a result, the bot directly "communicates" with the Tesla servers.
Through the bot, you can control the climate control,charging and media system of the car, update the firmware, open trunks, honk, blink headlights. The bot can also show the current battery level with power reserve and current geolocation.
