Screen and interface
Infinix Note 12 Pro is equipped with a large6.7-inch FHD screen built on an AMOLED matrix. On the one hand, for lovers of large screens, this is superb, while there is also plenty of brightness (in general, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra has almost the same 494 cd / m2 brightness in manual adjustment mode). On the other hand, on such a diagonal, you most notice that the refresh rate of 60 Hz in 2022 is already not enough. And this Infinix, alas, does not issue more. Despite the fact that competitors at the same price already have at least 90 Hz, or even all 120 Hz.

Also, there is a typical problem for the company with"cyanosis". The white balance is set to 8500K, and it is impossible to reduce it adequately with the settings - even the “eye protection mode” is set either “from dusk to dawn” or on schedule.

The color rendition here is also quite strange:The green color, actively used by the brand, is very oversaturated. On all the smartphones that I use - from Samsung, Realme, Xiaomi - I always set the color mode to "natural" or something like that. There is no choice of modes here, so if you don’t like super-bright colors, then either install some non-standard firmware/interface, or look at smartphones from other brands. In my opinion, it is impossible to get used to this.
And the relatively modest angles complete the picture.review. I thought this doesn’t happen on AMOLED anymore, but there’s kind of there. If today even state employees (and even IPS) have viewing angles close to 180 degrees, then here “by eye” - 165-170 degrees. Those. at angles close to 180, the screen darkens a little. This is not really a problem - you are unlikely to look at a smartphone from inadequate angles, but just a funny observation.

In general, the screen is large, but somehow… At allnot expensive - rich. Perhaps, the functions of the shell itself from Infinix (XOS) are pleasing. There is something useful here: for example, MOL - convenient translation of text in chats into the language of the interlocutor (without having to switch to another application), or Live Transcribe - speech transcription, but these are not some kind of killer features, because all this is also available using third-party programs.
Performance and autonomy
The smartphone is built on SoC MediaTek Helio G99 isbrand new (2022 model year) and moderately powerful processor. Yes, not the most powerful in smartphones for 15-25 thousand rubles, but about the level of Snapdragon 720G, 732G, which just recently everyone prayed to God.

In short, in terms of performance, the Infinix Note 12 Pro is “in the market”, as well as in terms of autonomy. It doesn't set records, but it doesn't disappoint either.
By "hardware" here too there is everything thatyou need: both NFC and a full set of sensors - gyroscope, magnetometer, accelerometer (except perhaps there is no barometer). The most important thing is that there is as much as 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM (which can still be expanded using internal memory), and 256 GB of NAND Flash. In fact, this is the main advantage of a smartphone.
Camera
The Infinix Note 12 Pro smartphone is equipped with108-megapixel wide-angle module. Unfortunately, the kit does not include an over-width, which is a pity, given that a smartphone costs 20-25 thousand rubles and all its competitors have an over-width.

However, having done a lot of different pictures to meit seems that the potential of the sensor in the Infinix Note 12 Pro has never been revealed at all. Almost any smartphone with a 108 megapixel camera (and here the Samsung HM6 sensor, as in Realme 9, Xiaomi 12T / Redmi K50) produces a slightly higher quality. Everything is fine with detailing, but look at the sky and trees in the pictures above - the nuclear war has not yet begun, and in the photo it seems that a "mushroom" exploded somewhere behind the skyscrapers.

In fact, here we have a color rendition as inAI mode on a Realme from the Realme XT era (2019, they don't do that now) or Huawei from the P20 Pro era. And this very “AI” cannot be turned off here in any way - you have to put up with how the smartphone wants to decorate the photo.
And-and-and… there is a feeling that HDR is either notworks, or works slightly. A lot of details (halftones, shadows, contours) are lost in absolutely any lighting, even with ideal side sunset light. Most often, details are lost in the light areas. Look at the photos (above) of the same peaches in the store. Well, this is never the level of a middle-class smartphone with 108 megapixels, as if they were filming on a mobile phone for 12 thousand (unless such budget smartphones will not have such sharpness).
And the "cherry on the cake" — smartphone sometimeslubricates (not with grease oil) photographs even in the daytime, but in cloudy weather. The technique of “quickly taking it out on the go and taking it off” it doesn’t work here - you need to actually stop, hold the smartphone level, and only then shoot.

There are much fewer complaints about the selfie camera - that’s allcool and clear, sometimes even too clear (you don’t always want to see your wrinkled face after a bad sleep in such detail). But the built-in “beautifier” corrects the situation.
The video here is debatable:on the one hand, the smartphone supports shooting in FHD/60 and 1440/30. The 2K (1440p) mode is such a compromise when it doesn’t seem to be 4K, but the detail is noticeably higher than in FHD. However, in the absence of at least some kind of stabilizer, you can shoot in this mode only from a tripod, so that there is not the slightest camera movement, otherwise the viewer will then get sick.

The quality of video recording in 2K is lame: trying to brighten the picture, the 1440/30 mode, instead of the declared 30 frames per second, starts shooting at 20 fps, which, as you understand, leads to the effect of a “drunk camera”.

Verdict: I recommend shooting video only in 1080/60. But there the quality of shooting is not very different from cheaper smartphones.

Plus, 20 thousand for Infinix Note 12 Pro is also a temporary promotion, and on Aliexpress they sell it for 16…
In short, Realme has an equal price in the office.retail will have a slightly faster processor, but the internal memory is half as much - 128 GB versus 256 GB. But the Realme camera shoots better (64 megapixels, but brought to mind, turned out to be more effective than 108 megapixels, not really tuned), and there is also an ultra-wide one. Plus, the screen has a refresh rate of 120Hz and isn't blue, but the screen is IPS, which in sunny weather will mean less readability. But, surprisingly, unlike most IPS smartphones, Realme 9 Pro is very cool in terms of autonomy, one of the most enduring smartphones with a display of this type.

In general, even with one foot “in the coffin” on the Russian market, the smuggled Samsung still gives a light to the new Chinese.

Let me remind you that Infinix Note 12 Pro has a separate slot.
The display is hefty and very bright. But this Asian color rendering, when the shades of white are made bluish… Well, marketing is marketing, but 90 or 120 Hz should already be in such a budget.
For retrogrades, there is even support for FM radio. A very nice case, although this is already a matter of taste (but I really like it).
But a good 108 megapixel camera is hereis set up in such a way that its quality is somewhere between budget smartphones with 50 megapixels and 64 megapixels, closer to the latter. And this is clearly not the level of smartphones worth 20+ thousand rubles.
The processor, by the way, is not bad. Yes, in office.In retail, more powerful smartphones based on the Snapdragon 695 5G (Xiaomi Poco X4 Pro 5G, Realme 9 Pro, Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G) sometimes flicker, but in the range from 20 to 24 thousand rubles they do not stay long, then the officials start asking for them 27- 30 thousand.
