Startup Figure unveils plan to create Figure 01, the world's first commercially viable humanoid robot
A feature of the new project is an attempt to create a humanoid robot that can be reprogrammed on the fly to perform many human-oriented tasks.
“We believe that humanoid robots have in commonpurpose has much greater potential than the single-purpose models that are currently common in this area,” explains Brett Adcock, founder and CEO of Figure.
He added that at first the robots will be able toA little. But, over time, as robot learning processes and software improve, engineers will expand the capabilities of Figure models. “Ultimately, robots will perform tasks better than humans,” he concludes.
