A startup is developing a three-wheeled car that drives, swims and “flies”

Poseidon Amphibworks is raising funds to create the first electric car that will

move both on land and in water. The three-wheeled vehicle will combine urban transport and a motor boat.

Representatives of the developer company say thatThe electric four-wheel drive three-wheeler will be able to accelerate on land to 96 km/h in just 5 seconds and move confidently in an urban environment. At the same time, the flight range in water will be increased due to the use of hydrofoils with low drag.

The vehicle can beregister as a tricycle. In it, the driver will sit in the front seat in the center, and two passenger seats are provided in the back. The machine itself is propelled by a simple, non-tilting, reversible trike chassis with electric motors mounted on all three wheels.

The developers note that the machine can simplyto enter the water while in shallow areas it will move like an electric boat, using two thrusters mounted on retractable racks at the rear.

Once the water is deep enough, the hydrofoil module, along with a second pair of electric thrusters, will lower into the water and the boat will be able to "hover" above the water. On hydrofoils, the device will be able to reach speeds of up to 56 km / h.

The company is still looking for an investor, raising money through crowdfunding and does not name the project implementation period, but promises that the cost of the device will be about $95,000.
