A telescope has appeared that will monitor dangerous asteroids

NASA announced the development of a space telescope to track asteroids that could be

dangerous for the Earth.

The researchers explained that space isa huge area, and we hardly know what is happening outside of the Earth. NASA has decided to work on a telescope that can see asteroids within our solar system in order to anticipate possible threats to our planet.

According to a NASA press release, their infraredthe space telescope will be of great assistance to the planetary defense researchers' efforts. The telescope will increase their ability to observe and characterize any potentially hazardous asteroids, comets, and even stars within 30 million km of Earth's orbit.

The working name of the device is Near-Earth ObjectSurveyor. Mike Kelly, NASA's research scientist on the project, said it would be able to quickly accelerate the pace of detecting space hazards that could pose a serious threat to Earth.

He added that the telescope will have a feature that will detect at least 90% of 140m asteroids within ten years of launch.
