A tip will appear on TikTok

TikTok is experimenting with a new tool that allows TikTok users to tip some

creators directly on their profiles.

According to the video about the tipping function, whichshared this week by TikToker Jera Bean, who noticed the feature in the app and applied for approval, any money left to creators as a tip will go directly to that person (meaning TikTok doesn't take a cut).

To qualify for tips, accounts mustbe “in good standing”, have at least 100,000 followers, meet the age requirement, and agree to TikTok's terms and conditions regarding tipping. If authors meet these criteria, they can apply, but it is unknown whether everyone who applies will be approved.

According to the following video from Jera Bean, released Thursday evening, the application process appears to be moving fairly quickly. The account now has a tip button that directs users to a page where they can tip the author $5, $10, $15, or any other amount of their choice (minimum $1). In addition, the platform allows you to send tips anonymously.
