Apple device collector Giulio Zompetti shared a video on Twitter of
The video shows a unique on-screenan iOS animation of placing an iPhone on an AirPower charging mat, previously only seen in early Apple marketing materials, making this animation the first time ever seen live. The iPhone on the AirPower charger was supposed to show the charge of all devices that were placed on the mat.
AirPower is a charging mat designedby Apple to charge iPhones, Apple Watch and AirPods using the Qi standard, which Apple announced in September 2017 with the iPhone X. It was designed so that users can place their iPhone, AirPods and Apple Watch on any part of the charging mat , which meant the need to place several overlapping charging coils inside the device body.

AirPower failed to enter the market in 2018, andafter a lot of problems with its development, Apple canceled the project in March 2019. Photos allegedly depicting the AirPower surfaced on social media in August 2020, showcasing the multi-coil design and internal circuitry of the device.
But now we're dealing with the first footage of a rare and seemingly functional prototype that supposedly leaked out of Apple's supply chain.
Zompetti is an avid collectorApple Prototypes and has previously shared images of an Apple Watch Series 3 prototype with additional connectors, an original iPad with two 30-pin ports, an iPhone 12 Pro prototype, a third-generation iPod touch with a rear camera, and rare original Apple Watch prototypes.
