Speaking at the "government hour" inTo the State Duma, the minister said that, according to the department, up to 80% of employees who are outside the country continue to work for Russian companies. At the same time, Mr. Shadayev noted that the department opposes strict restrictions on remote work for such specialists. This, according to the ministry, will lead to an outflow of employees to foreign companies.
Earlier, the media, citing the head of the Council CommitteeAndrey Klishas' Federation for Constitutional Legislation and State Building reported on a bill being prepared that would restrict remote work for Russians who had left the country. As conceived by the authors, the Government of Russia will determine the list of specialties subject to a ban on remote work.
The Ministry of Digital Development opposes this initiative. In a press release from the agency, it is noted that "the introduction of a total ban may lead to a slowdown in the development of digital platforms and solutions, which may ultimately adversely affect their competitiveness." IT companies themselves must determine the format of work, and restrictions for employees supporting state information systems can be included in contracts, the ministry adds.
