Under the cover of darkness, Activision announced the first season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which will expand the game for free
What is known
In the first season, players will receive two newoperatives - Mara and Nikto. Even before the release of the game, Activision stated that the characters differ only in appearance and do not carry special gadgets with them, like the fighters in Rainbow Six Siege. Modern Warfare will also add three new maps: Crash, Vacant and Shipment. In addition, the “Ground Wars” mode will receive the Port location. “Fire contact” will be expanded with Cargo, Atrium maps and one as yet unnamed location.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will also feature new modes:
- In Reinforce, teams will be tasked with capturing three points, and the process will be complicated by the fact that each player only has one life.
- Gunfight OSP is similar to Gunfight, but players start the round empty-handed and will search the map for weapons.
- In Infected, the “infected” will hunt other players.
Fans of "Special Operations" will receive at leastFour reasons to check out the mode: Bomb Squad, Grounded, Pitch Black and Just Reward. In addition, Activision promises to add more maps throughout the first season.
New weapons in Modern Warfare will include the RAM-7 and Holger-26.

The first season will launch on December 3 on PlayStation 4,Xbox One and PC, but the developers noted that content will be added gradually. So on launch day, players will receive only part of what was promised, although Activision did not specify what exactly. It is possible that a couple of new maps and guns will be added to the game on December 3, and the rest of the free content will be added later. The company also noted that this is "the largest free content addition in Call of Duty history."
