Thanks to this innovation, it is possible to print not only small parts and objects, but also entire buildings.Adidas has also used 3D printing technology to develop a curious product.

This time the company's designers did notfocus on a new generation of sports shoes, and instead created a pair of sunglasses. The name of the model in question – Adidas 3D CMPT, and production using a 3D printer allows them to significantly reduce their weight.

According to official figures, the glasses weigh only 20 grams. Adidas has confirmed that it is partnering with Italian brand Marcolin Group to produce 3D CMPT.

The basis of glasses – nylon frame, resembling a flexible grill grate. The use of the latest generation 3D technology makes it possible to print a module that is complemented by a rubberized coating and contact pads along the edges. The Adidas 3D CMPT uses an Adidas Base 7 polycarbonate lens to block UV rays.

This ensures clear images in all weather conditions and also reduces eye fatigue. The company plans to release a limited edition of 150 units to promote the Adidas 3D CMPT.

Adidas Creator Club members (I wonder if there are any of our readers?) will be able to exclusively order the glasses during the week of August 23rd. The Adidas 3D CMPT is priced at a modest $415.
