L-159 ALCA is a Czech light multi-rolestormtrooper It was created from the L-59 and is a further development of the L-39 Albatros. It was developed by the Czech company Aero Vodochody. The plane made its first flight in 1997. The public debut of the L-159 took place in 1999 as part of the SIAD-1999 air show in Bratislava. The single-seat L-159 ALCA entered service with the Czech Air Force in 2001, and the two-seat L-159T in 2007. In addition to the Czech Army, it is also operated by the Iraqi Air Force.
