After 10 years, LG will release a new smartphone series Neon, but already on Android

LG plans to revive the budget line of Neon phones, but now with Android support.

What is known

The company has already used the name Neon formobile devices, but basically they were ordinary phones in the slider or clamshell form factor. They worked on the standard operating system for such devices, and the latest model in the lineup came out ten years ago. Now, according to Androidheadlines, LG has decided to revive the series, but now in the form of low-cost Android smartphones.

Judging by the first raiders, the new Neon will receivea separate button for Google Assistant and an elongated 18: 9 screen without a bang. In addition, the smartphone will have only two cameras - the front 5 MP and the main module 8 MP.

Given that even Samsung is stuffing incamera employees on several modules, the solution is strange. Micro USB instead of a USB-C port for charging raises questions, but at least the presence of a headphone jack will please.

Still, the insides of the smartphone remain a secret,so that we learn about the processor, as well as the amount of RAM and permanent memory only at the presentation. The new Neon can be presented at the CES Consumer Electronics Show in January 2020. It is noteworthy that Samsung will also drop in Las Vegas, which is also preparing a new product called Neon.
