AI was taught to rap, but the algorithm became irritable and aggressive

The startup Replica published a video in which “synthesized” rap artists read out the lyrics of the song.

But they can hardly be called soulless or neutral. The Verge columnist believes that it is necessary to stop such experiments before it is too late.

“I would say that the above video is notonly refutes all value neutrality, but also provides a decent argument for completely shutting off this "technological" fun and returning to trees before it's too late. I mean the AI is posting annoyance and I don't like that, ”concludes columnist James Vincent.

Replica notes that the AI rapper has appeared on onefrom recent hackathons. However, this video demonstrates the functionality of the forthcoming integration between Replica speech synthesis tools and MetaHumans Unreal Engine software that generates realistic CGI people. By combining the two tools, Replica says anyone can "create lip-sync dialogues for games, movies, and even rap."
