At CES 2023, Alfred presented the world's first door lock that can be charged wirelessly.
What is known
The door lock is equipped with a touch screen thatplays the role of a keyboard, and a Bluetooth wireless adapter, and communication with the smart home is established via the Zegbee protocol. Also, the novelty received support for RFID cards.

Wireless charging is done byinfrared energy transfer technology. To do this, uses a special Wi-Charge charging kit. It consists of a receiver and a permanently powered transmitter. Charging is performed within line of sight at a distance of up to 30 feet (9.15 meters).
Alfred DB2S cost $300. The Wi-Charge kit will be on sale no earlier than in six months. Until then, the door lock can be charged via USB-C.
