In August 2014, the AMD FX 8370 processorset a record for overclocking - up to 8722.78 MHz. At the same time, its default frequency was 4.0 GHz. After more than eight years, this record is broken, but with a completely new processor.
Overclocker Elmor achieved 8812.85 MHz for the Intel Core i9-13900K. The processor was used alongside an ASUS Z790 ROG Maximus APEX motherboard and apparently plenty of liquid nitrogen.
